The outdoor areas at Gillahill Croft are impressive and particularly well maintained, with mature trees and open green spaces. There are about 14 acres of land in total. The immediate garden grounds around the house extend to about about 0.6 acres and the agricultural land is about 13 acres. Highlights of the grounds include stone walls, coniferous screen planting, a gated entrance with cattle grid, gravel covered drive, stable yard and a wide footpath along the front of the house. For lower maintenance the majority of the garden is laid in lawn. A summer house and store are attached to the west side of the house. The summer house was upgraded from the original greenhouse and with its decorative precast blocks and double glazed windows and patio doors this is a wonderful relaxation space all year round. Rear former stables adjoin the summer house and are divided into two stables. A detached former wash house with double gable doors is sub divided into two stores.
